NaNoWriMo

NaNoWriMo 2016 – Final Week

If you missed it, here are week 1, week 2week 3  and week 4 of my NaNo diary.

Monday – 28th November 2016

I’ve finished Gilmore Girls new episodes. I don’t know how to feel about them, because I didn’t enjoy them that much. I mean, okay that’s great to see how the characters are after nine years. But I didn’t like Rory at all and, even if I’ll be team Logan forever, I didn’t like their story. To be honest, the only episode I liked was the last one. The other three were too long, too uninteresting. Twenty minutes of a creepy musical, really? Please guys, why on earth would you do that? 😢

I think the only character who got out of this boring season was Emily Gilmore. Seeing her, struggling after Richard’s death, was refreshing and funny. I mean, of course, dealing with the death of a beloved one is everything but funny. However, her character managed to win her pain over. She realised she didn’t need all that luxury around her, all that insincerity. Like a phoenix, she came back from her bereavement with even more strength. Emily Gilmore is definitely somebody 🙂

I’ve watched a great video by Lucy The Reader on Youtube, answering questions about writing 🙂

I visited our wedding venue, which I think is beautiful. I’ll post an article about it soon, but I thought it has all the characteristics we’re looking for a venue. It’s original and looks good. Okay, it will need some decorations but every venue needs some, right? 🙂

Last day of NaNoWriMo, but also of my Belgian stay. I was a bit sad that I couldn’t enjoy the month that much because I went to three events only. Those write-ins helped me to boost my word count and to know some writers in my area.

I wrote 341 words in the Eurostar back to London. I couldn’t write more, because I had stopped three days in a row and my story kind of got away from me. Even if I was happy to see my family, I have to admit that it did harm to my writing as I’ve been out of my routine.

Overall, I wrote 13,452 words during NaNoWriMo. Of course, I didn’t write 50,000 words but it had to be expected, as I explained in a previous post. My novel is not finished yet, I’m going to continue it in December 🙂 Let’s do this!

How was your NaNo? How many words have you written?
